  anna & chris: wedding

Tuesday, 23 February 2010

A lot of smiles and a lot of love – that’s what I remember from this wedding. I don’t just mean the love between Chris and Anna but the love all their family and friends have for them.

It was a cloudy day but their ceremony was protected against the threat of rain under the roof of St Alban’s Anglican Church. The location shoot aferwards, however, got rained on…a lot. While the usual bride might fret and worry that her dress and hair might get ruined, Anna (as well as Chris and the rest of the bridal party) was in nothing short of good spirit. They were just so happy that no amount of rain could ever…umm…rain on their parade (sorry if that was lame…I’m not a writer!)

I think Chris was so nervous that morning. He hardly cracked a smile until this moment when his mum was pinning the buttonhole for him.

Anna’s dad just walked into the room to see his daughter in her white dress.

Love the flowers/headband in her hair =)

Isn’t she gorgeous? =)

This capture is by my 2nd shooter, Paul.

A picture is worth a thousand words – an emotional Chris here.

He is completely mesmerized heheh.

BTW I love this simple but stunning bouquet. I’m a big fan of David Austin roses!

This passionate and romantic shot is one of my fav.

After the garden, we headed to Narrabeen beach. It was cold, raining and windy. It’s the first time that I’ve had to do location shoot in the rain and there was nowhere to hide. These umbrella images turned out to be my favs from the wedding. Never fear rain again as long as you got some white umbrellas I reckon! First two shots by Paul.
BTW I was really nervous walking along the opposite side of the pool. I was looking at the gear I had on me and then all that water…scary thought.

This is what I’m talking about. Who cares about the rain? Anna and the girls were just having a blast. She was so hilarious with all her high fashion model moves haha =)

Looking at the below photo, you wouldn’t know it but let me tell you that it was freezing! Thank you so much Anna and Chris for enduring the weather so we could get extra shots.

Another one of my fav, captured just as Chris and Anna were hurrying off to their reception at the Narrabeen Function Room.

I know it’s been a long post but here’s the last one – the happy in love couple =)

Now turn the speakers on and check out the slideshow. It’ll probably take a little while to load, I had to use two songs this time!

  stacie & shaun: couple portraits

Friday, 19 February 2010

Hello and konichiwa. I’m back from my Japan trip (the snow was totally awesome btw!) and I have been working madly since the moment I got home! Wow it’s been a long time since I logged on to this blogger thing but we definitely need some new photos around here.

This was a fun couple session at Garie Beach with Stacie and Shaun. These two are just so darn cute together. Seriously, there aren’t that many elements in these photos so if you think the photos are good, it’s ‘cos Stacie and Shaun made them look good!

Oh and while I may be categorising this post under “engagements”, I should make it clear that these two are not actually engaged (yet anyway!) They’ve been together a long time though so perhaps it is about that time hey? I dunno…just sayin’ ;-)

We were lucky to get overcast weather which makes the green moss on the rocks really pop out for a nice splash of colour =)

Okiedokie I’m off to do another e-sesssion. Enjoy the weekend everybody!
